Richard Caldwell 2010 Clinic - Nanton, Alberta

About Richard Caldwell

Richard is a vaquero-style horseman from Alturas, California. Having spent many decades of his life working cattle and training horses in the old vaquero way, he possesses strong convictions about horsemanship. With over 30 years of ranch work to his credit Richard is able to draw on experiences as a bucakroo in the Great Basin.

While Richard is very true to the Vaquero tradition, he has competed at the highest level and is the only rider to date to have won the NRCHA Triple Crown Hackamore on a 3 year old. In fact, Richard has been an NRCHA Finalist many times.

The benefit of riding with, learning from, and observing a horseman of this calibre is that riders will learn the methods he uses in training his horses for rein work, working cattle, and just everyday riding.  A rider in Richard's clinic  will learn traditional equipment use, the reasoning for their use, and proper rider etiquette. Learning horsemanship with Richard will truly  be an all-encompassing experience that will enhance your understanding and skills.
